The DiSC model is a tool designed to identify communication styles and help individuals enhance their interpersonal skills at work. The model describes four primary communication styles: D, i, S, and C.
There are also communication styles that combine two primary styles, such as Di or SC, and so forth. Based on this model, there are 12 unique and distinct DiSC styles. Important to Remember! We can all apply all styles, not just our dominant one. However, using styles that are less natural for us may require more effort and a willingness to stretch beyond our automatic responses. The ability to develop a more conscious and flexible communication style is the greatest gift of learning with DiSC.
Let’s start with the four basic styles…
Detail-oriented, rational and systematic. Maintains a moderate and cautious pace, similar to the “S” style, but with a less warm and accepting approach.
Unique Contribution: Emphasis on quality, thoroughness and ‘doing it right the first time’ approach.
Overuse of the Style: May be perceived as overly stubborn, nitpicky, or an obstacle to progress.
Similar to the “I” style, those with the “S” style enjoy collaborating with others but prefer a more cautious pace, seeking harmony and stability. They have a thoughtful and pleasant communication style.
Unique Contribution: Stability and reliability. Kindness, willingness to help.
When style is overused: May be perceived as lacking determination or not clear enough about their opinions.
Enjoys a fast pace (similar to the “D” style) but is usually warmer, more friendly (sometimes talkative…), and Charismatic.
Unique Contribution: Positive energy, drives change, a team player.
When style is overused: May be perceived as overly impulsive or too ptimistic, at times.
Prefers a fast pace, tends to be dominant, and is determined to achieve goals. This communication style values directness, practicality, and a results-oriented approach.
Unique Contribution: Highly effective, takes initiative, and gets things done.
When style is overused: May be perceived as a too pushi or lacking sensitivity.

This independence offers many advantages, but it may not be the right fit for every organization. If you’re unsure, that’s exactly what I’m here for. 🙂

The key to success lies in the ability to explain complex situations in simple words:
I believe that Everything DiSC’s tools are so successful thanks to their winning combination of depth and simplicity. The clear language of the model and tools makes it is easier for participants to understand themselves and their environment, to remember what they have learned, and to achieve true behavior change.
A learning experience and tools that together create a culture of listening, mutual appreciation and cooperation.
Every year, millions of managers around the world use the tools of Everything DiSC as part of leadership development processes. In my own experience working with personality tests, I have learned a lot about myself as a person, as a husband, as a parent to my children, and of course as a consultant. I am happy to pass on this gift to the participants in my workshops and to the managers that I coach.
Didi is a top-notch facilitator. He has the ability to break away from “mental fixation,” take the audience out of their comfort zone, and move them successfully towards a defined goal. Along with being an expert in soft skills, Didi is task- and result-oriented. He implements regular control to make sure that the material actually permeates and is applied.
I really enjoyed participating in the “Influence without Authority” course guided by Didi. The material was delivered in a professional and thorough manner, yet was still enjoyable and fun. Didi is an excellent facilitator and knows how to listen and share, while also conveying the main message clearly and effectively. I feel that I have acquired real tools that will help me in any organization, as well as in my personal life.
