Like you, I encounter the need to lead without authority on a daily basis, in my personal life and at work.

One might think that because I deal with this field a lot, it would be less challenging for me. Sure, some people find it easier—but honestly, I don’t see myself as one of them. That said, the more I delve into the subject and deal with it, the more aware I become: I am better acquainted with my strengths in interacting with others, as well as the traps I tend to fall into in situations of conflict. I have more tools at my disposal in reacting to diverse situations, and of course it helps me a lot in life.

I am married to Idit, father to Ayla Varez, and live in Kibbutz Mishmar Hasharon. In my spare time, I like to build things out of wood. The greatest feeling for me is the ability to plan something from scratch, imagine and sketch it for myself, and finally build it and enjoy the fruits of my labor—it fills me with satisfaction.
